On March 6th 2018 the new Academic Network Britain Innsbruck (BritInn) will be hosting an inauguration symposium on “Brexit and Academia” at the University of Innsbruck. BritInn welcomes contributions from all research areas and also encourage early-career researchers to submit proposals. The symposium Brexit and Academia aims at scrutinizing the consequences of Brexit for the European research landscape, current projects, and future collaborations with colleagues from Britain. The event offers a forum for discussing the possible effects of Brexit from a wide range of different (trans) disciplinary perspectives.
On Tuesday, 4 July 2017 the BritInn Team organized an information session to present the new Academic Network Britain-Innsbruck at the University of Innsbruck. Prof. Sibylle Baumbach, Academic Director of BritInn, informed faculty members of various disciplines about the concept and key objectives as well as potential funding opportunities offered by BritInn.
